REVIEWS
- Five Star Review:
After reading this book, I felt greatly encouraged and strengthened. I lost a loved one to suicide a year ago. I have not been able to move on until I read this book. I could relate to so many of the scenarios personally that I was empowered to let go of my loved one’s ashes when I finished it. ~ Lakeisha Ikner - Five Star Amazon Review - Rachel Powell
5.0 out of 5 stars A side to the human experience I didn't know existed.
Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2018I read External Scars from Internal Wounds at the suggestion of a friend. I hadn't had prior experience dealing with anyone that was clinically depressed or self-harming. This book showed me a side of the human condition that I had no way of understanding. The anecdotes from real life put the reasons why people do to harmful things to themselves into a new perspective. While I still can't relate to this, I can have empathy, and it's improved my ability to minister to people that are hurting inside and out. - Five Star Amazon Review - Steven Darville
5.0 out of 5 stars Healing your wounded heart
Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2016I had to read her book twice in a row. The first time I read it so fast I missed some of the deeper impacts in my own life. If you have ever been depressed or suicidal then this book WILL speak to you. There is something so real about these true-life stories that you can't ignore their pain, if when you too are hurting. You are not alone, your life is important, people will miss you, even if like me, you are so far gone you can't see it. -
